not sure, but i don't enjoy what it's becoming
i wiped all my stuff from my gallery
either because i did not like it anymore
or because it makes no sense to remain on a community which,

around me, feeds on
plagiarism
to submit
art.

i believe the inspirational action is inevitable in the artistic process
nevertheless, one's inspiration can become his/her worst enemy.
i strongly were inclined to believe that most people that created accounts on dA did it because they had something to show which was genuinely theirs. in fact, when i joined, being able to discover and enjoy so many inspiring works by so many inspiring people made me consider this as a landmark of one of the web's most proeminent cappacities: spread art

as in all massification processes, artistic tools can fall in the hands of those who don't take 10 minutes to think about what they have in hands. we are moving towards a world where every living being goes for the easy and the instantaneous. the tools are definitely powerful, and capable of producing results with great quantifiable quality, either in megapixels or in millions of polygons. don't take me wrong, i'm a fierce defender of technology in the artistic process, but, as it is in its nature, a human being can't be focused on too many tasks at once. so it's easy to neglect the mental process that one goes through when trying to accomplish something (as in an artwork), in favor of exploring the latest software's capabilities. or even the latest 200 photologs in our bookmarks. or even the last 2123123 deviation in our watch list. in this kind of environment, while we assist to great improvements and ideas, it's also easy to sit back and become, albeit in control of what he wants to watch, a mere spectactor. this shit is doing to us 100x what tv did to youth some decades ago.

in conclusion,
seeing so much unoriginal and copied crap has made me call it quits.
i will still be alert to few of you whose work i admire, and to all of you those whose work is a daily pile of shit.
